Next to the coin, I'm guessing half a folding knife. Next to that, I have no clue but it's very heavy. Below the coin, I have no idea, but it and the pottery (which clearly shows the maker's mark, and yet I can find zero information on the company) were about 2 feet underground. The pottery piece was in a bucket with a ton of other pieces that had been thoroughly smashed. I have no idea what the key looking thing is, but the guy across the street suggested something from a musical instrument. Any help with these is greatly appreciated!

The key thing looks like it's from a violin to tune (tighten) the strings and the object above the plate looks to be a R&R spike most rusted away though or part of a broken wedge.

Thank you! The piece above the pottery looks to have been poured, and made of lead. There isn't any rust on that one, though it's hard to see in pictures.

The embossed piece looks like the non-business end to a letter opener. It appears to have a dog and dog house.

The eagle logo on the stone china has a German look.

Neat finds, Breezie

Hey Superblitz,

Welcome to TNet., and thanks for showing your finds. That hard to see photo is easily remedied with one that's easy to see... 8-)

I've found a number of buckets full of smashed, not so smashed, and interesting crusty stuff while dump digging. The light bulb on my shovel went on when I read your post. I found your mark, but Worthpoint is a paid service...

With Fairplay's proximity to Baltimore, I suspect it is for Edwin Bennett.

They seem wont to have changed their mark with some regularity.

The key looking thing, I'm assuming is brass. It appears to be gas valve related.

Haha very true! Unfortunately I only have a phone camera, and I can't seem to stop the auto adjust features from making this oddly shaped object come out all screwy.

And there it is! You have mad finding skills! Now that I know the maker, I can better educate myself! It's too bad this is the largest remaining piece. I'm not sure if it was all broken when I found it, or if my shovel did some of that work. I wasn't expecting to be digging glass objects. :(

I couldn't tell you what metal that small piece is made of, but it's very heavy for its size. It has a tiny hole at the end of it.

Thank you so much for your informative post! I'd been googling for a week and couldn't find that maker's mark anywhere.
