Today, I hunted the lot where I found the world's fair token last week. There aren't a whole lot of areas on this lot that aren't overgrown. But, if it was low enough to, I hunted it. I didn't end up with much. I dug up a lot of trash that I couldn't bring myself to photograph.

Back to an alarm clock, 20 or so pulltabs, 1 REM-UMC Shurshot and 1 REM-UMC New Club shotshell bases, 1 22Lr casing, 1 38-56 WCF casing, 1 military rifle blank casing, 4 memorial pennies and 1 zipper pull

Good luck and HH

It's not BAD, Willie!

38-56 WCF is a black powder case, isn't it?
Haven't made those in a while...

You're doing fine... last time I posted I think I clumped 4 short trips into the same pic!
and it was STILL nothing to get excited about.... or enough to buy batteries!

At least you're out there looking for that $4,800 diamond ring!

It's one of the finer collections of pulltabs I have seen on TN. A bad day of detecting is better than a good day at work.

I pulled this off a website : The 38-56 Winchester was introduced in 1887. It made the transition into the smokeless powder era and was loaded until about 1936. Although advertised as a powerful big game number, it is little more then a deer or black bear cartridge. With maximum handloads, it might do OK for elk at short range.

This text is based on information from “Cartridges of the World”, Hodgdon reloading manual, the cartridge designer and/or own resources.

$4,800 ring huh? I am sooooooo far off.

Nice haul Willie - at least you got out and had some finds. I know someone that would be mighty happy about that zipper pull (ME22 where are you?)... ;D
As soon as I dug it up I remembered he had a special affinity for zipper pulls. I knew if anyone would appreciate this post , it would be him. :D
