A hour hunt, Eagle's tail ?

I went and hit a spot in the woods for about a hour.. There been some great stuff found there lately by other digging buddies.. I found this one piece and I'm not sure what it could be? Looks like its a eagle's tail?? Made out of lead... Found a little cuff flat button that's got a little design. Photo shows the back mark of cuff flat button. Nothing great but fun to dig..

Tentis...I looked at that piece for a while but could not put a positive i.d. on it...the best I can guess (wild guess), is a "foot" or base to a decorative chair or table...very cool regardless...Ddf
