Greetings,
This Thanksgiving I got saddled into going to my wife's Brothers house for the
festivities. I didn't mind to badly since his family lives close to one of my spots
and I figured I'd sneak out for a peek.
It was badly footprinted and bitter cold,I also left the camera with my wife but
I did pretty good after all.
I found a nice sized point and a nifty hafted scraper.

I found a heartbreaker and a strange piece. It looks just like one of those
ball-pean hammer points you see in gift shops. It is uni-facial but
appears to be serrated with a little base.Maybe it's a real artifact
but it could also have been made recently from a flake by a bored artifact
hunter.

It's getting a little too cold to hunt up here now and the snow should
be coming soon.I'll have to gather up this years finds for a retrospective.

One more thing , while out in the woods today I snapped this picture.
I'm not sure where Survivor man was at this time but I got a shot of
his digs., Unitas

Nice finds, funny you mention the bored hunter i did that today on a flake blade although you could clearly see the patination difference i left it on a stump for the orange army that will come sunrise monday.Like the little wooden teepee & fire ring friggn nice digs...

Pretty decent hunt. I also think the teepee is cool, looks like someone put a little work into it.Makes me wonder if someone was trying to live in it, or was just messing around. Congrats on your finds, and it is cold and snowing here in Mo. right now. John

Not all flake knives/points are fakes, I have several of them. Now if the notches look like they were done with a rattail file.....
