A Half-Cheek Snaffle kind of day. . .

Yesterday kimsdad & I hunted the forest and while Neil was finding ALL the V-Nickels and Wheats ( )
I found a plated suspender shield, a tiny memo book and part of a lead seal.
Any ideas as to what this seal may have been part of?



Today I was out for maybe 30-minutes. . . then it started pouring rain
Before it got really bad, I dug this half-cheek snaffle near the river bank.

Hey Mark, that memo book is really cool!!

It was so muddy it was hard to tell what was what out there!

Now I see what you were trying to describe to me over the phone... a half-cheek snaffle bit.

Sounds like something that could happen to ya if you didn't look where you were sitting in the woods.

You always find the coolest relics, and seem to know right away what they are!

neat note book...next time your there , watch you'll find the little metal thing that the little pencil slips into so you can write on the paper

Christy, there's still a LOT of iron in that bank that I couldn't dig. . . too steep and it started pouring rain. Next week
