Metal Detecting
A little one. I assume it was part of a toy. There was a guy here who was an expert on toys–is he still here? He was good. Also found was a 1911 V nickel, 1938 Buffalo nickel, about 8 wheats soaking now, and a small (had me going due to its diminutive size) Finnish penny from 1963 to continue my weird foreign coin streak.

This is an old mill site with a Colonial house, nothing great yet but fun detecting so far. Dirt is like powdered sugar–very fine. I suspect the old stuff has sunk quite low due to the nature of the soil, but I’ll keep trying.

I love that jersey sugar sand, easy digging, easy on the coins.

I like Tuberale's idea. I was thinking a door for a metal bank also. Neat find.

Nice! You'll have to update us with pics of the rest once you clean em up!

Interesting find! :occasion14:
