Yesterday was sunny and in the low 70's so I headed out to one of my favorite spots on the edge of a playa. Not a soul in sight for miles, except for a buck Pronghorn antelope that came cruising by to see what I was up to.
Point types include Elko, Humboldt, Rose gate and Rose spring.

That one is made from "mohogany obsidian" with some clear bands as well:

A nice mano:

What would have been a nice, and very rare, flat-bottom mortar:

A hammer stone, or percussion flaker made of what we call locally "wonderstone"

Taking a break from swinging a detector was good for my tired old shoulder. Okay, back to detecting now! :tongue3:

Some great finds there, IMO. Love the color bands and the serrations on those two!

Good work. I'll see you on Sunday to go out detecting.

Every time you go out for arrowheads you find a bunch of nice ones. Love the translucent material!

You had a great day of hunting. Some real great looking points.
Well done!

Those points are nice!
