Yesterday was sunny and in the low 70's so I headed out to one of my favorite spots on the edge of a playa. Not a soul in sight for miles, except for a buck Pronghorn antelope that came cruising by to see what I was up to.
Point types include Elko, Humboldt, Rose gate and Rose spring.
That one is made from "mohogany obsidian" with some clear bands as well:
A nice mano:
What would have been a nice, and very rare, flat-bottom mortar:
A hammer stone, or percussion flaker made of what we call locally "wonderstone"
Taking a break from swinging a detector was good for my tired old shoulder. Okay, back to detecting now!
