This point was used to pay a debt between an old mountain man and his mechanic, then given to me because I've always wanted to research more about it. Any comments would be great...

They are highly collected by some just for what they are. I dont collect them myself but have seen some.

I agree with this assessment 100%. They are still valuable though to the people that collect them.
