A fun story that my boss told me. Just thought I'd share
When I was working construction last year my boss and I were talking about finding neat stuff in houses that were being remodeled after finding an old letter from 1944 from a soldier.
He told me about a good friend of his back east who bought a civil war era house in Virginia. The house was bought with the intention of remodeling it and then his buddy would live there. Well, all went well on the remodle until he got to the fireplace. He was going to re-hash the whole layout of the room, and started stripping the walls. This is when things got really interesting. In one of the said walls near the fireplace he discovered a nice little cache of un-used or barely used Civil war Muskets. There were 18 in all. Needless to say the old owner got wind of this and tried to claim that they were his and that he hid them, but nobody really listened to him, since it was apparent that they had been there LONG before he had been alive.
I just thought that this was kind of a neat story. And I wanted to share it with everyone.
