We had a little break in the weather today. The temperature dropped a few degrees and the humidity was a little lower, so I decided to get some swing time in. The first site was a mid-fifties home that was shaded and look promising. As hard as I tried I couldn't find but one Rosie dime, a few wheat pennies, some clad coins and lead frog. I sure thought I had some silver cornered when I got my search coil over that frog.
It's was time for me to move to another location, so I decided to go back to the last site where I found all those Rosie dimes to give it another going over. This time I started out with my F75 and grid searched everything in both directions. Other than a few wheat pennies and some clad coins, I did unearth a small coin spill containing 2 wheat pennies and a Rosie dime.
I may not be finding much, but I'm doing better than I did last Summer, because I didn't even go detecting for around 4 straight months and I still got over 250 silver coins in just 101 hunts. I like to detect in cool weather! Detecting in hot muggy weather is miserable.
