A French pig, Marie's bracelet and a few other relics

Went back to the foundation where I found that Flying Eagle. Found 4 more wheats. But started digging some relics. I have been shying away from relics this year, and don't know why because I really like the stories they tell. Found a metal cast pig that was made in France. Thought that was really neat. Also found a Navy insignia. Maybe for a hat. The metal thing with the bird looks like a lighter case. (Like a zippo). The bracelet says Marie. After doing a little research. Marie's last name was Burkhart and was born in 1937.

Title made me laugh we used to be English Pigs....lol

Pretty neat stuff Will. This weather makes you want to stay out in the woods, doesn't it?

Cool navy piece, and finding the pig is really cool.

Congrats on pulling those cool keepers Nepa. :occasion14: I'd have gone back there too. Which detector were you swinging?

Thanks Loco. I was swing the Deus. As much as I love the ATP. It hasn't found anything there in a long time.

Um...the mystery is solved. The French Pig was hunting truffles when it became lost. So, your pig is refined, not brash or uncouth. Great hunt! Sub8-)

The "metal thing with a bird" appears to be a circa 1900 match safe for carrying matches rather than a lighter case. I like finding the little cast iron animals too and yours is in great condition but probably not too old since it shows little rust.
