A paleo gone wrong, made useful...This piece has a nice spur with good edge wear..From the Santa Fey River, North Florida..thanks for lookin.

Sure looks like it was intended to be a fluted point but broke in manufacture. No doubt that spur was intentional made and used. Cool item.

Interesting piece. I see the spur. Just curious about that base. It looks more finished than the rest of the tool -as if there was nothing left to construct a flute platform. I’m wondering if it better fits a preform for an Agate Basin.
Still learning here. Perhaps, after completing all the fine secondary flaking, the base would be worked to a deeper con-cavity before a platform is constructed?

I'd say it had a typical lanceolate shape in the beginning. The top broke off at some point (?during manufacture?) and the remaining base portion was salvaged.
