I was finally able to get my husband out hunting with me on Saturday! We went to his buddies house who owns a bit of land. We ventured into the woods and discovered what was left of what appeared to be a house probably dating back to the 1930's or so. We detected around the front area of the home and finally got a hit that wasn't junk! Dug about 5-6 inches down and discovered my very first coin! A 1902 penny. I think it is an Indian head? Correct me if I'm wrong but I am THRILLED with the find! We also found quite a bit of old glass bottles (not pictured) as well as some rusted door hinge I think and possibly an old conditioner bottle cap. And I think the letters pictured once belonged to a juke box?

Anyways, this was my first real hunt outside of city parks and my backyard. I'm happy :) thanks for lookin!
