Not exactly the same, the one I found has arrows in left talon, no olive branch, and no regiment oval. Where this was found produced Rev War and earlier artifacts, I am thinking maybe it's older than 1812.war of 1812
interesting find, good luck on the IDPewter vest size eagle, haven't seen this exact button, anybody want to venture an age? View attachment 2186296
I guess that's it. Interesting that a 1811 button turned up on a early site that has never produced buttons that late.May be GI-47 Bv in Albert's book. Picture on page 24 and description on page 25.
GI-47 Army; 1-piece cast pewter. 1811
Bv. Device without stars. Blank; 14mm
Sorry about the picture quality. Notice how the left wing tip bends in from the edge

If you don't want it I know someone who does!I guess that's it. Interesting that a 1811 button turned up on a early site that has never produced buttons that late.
You never know who or how it got there but things show up in odd places. Searching the site of a long gone one room school house here in Shippensburg, PA we found Chinese Coins from the 1700's. A coworker gardening found a coin from Thailand while planting his vegetables. It is so cool yet leaves you scratching your headI guess that's it. Interesting that a 1811 button turned up on a early site that has never produced buttons that late.
