Went and hunted an old house site that's on some family land. Supposed to date back to turn of the century. Found these guys. It looks like the Coca Cola piece is broken/missing something at the top and is made of cast metal or pot metal. The tag? and belt buckle? are both brass or copper or bronze. Can't be sure which. What is the tag? (I cannot find anything on the company) and is the other one a belt buckle? It's very thin.

Since you're in Georgia, the R & D Co. tag could be from the Richmond & Danville (Railroad) Company. I see a number of turn of the 20th C reports and digests referencing 'R&D Co.'.

The Coke thing was a watch fob

Thanks nhbenz. I was looking at all sorts of Coke memorabilia and couldn't figure out what it actually was. Mystery solved!

Bottom piece looks like half of a sash buckle.

I agree. I believe the other side would have been a mirror and had a small loop along with the same larger loop. I'm assuming it's a fashion piece, however, as I can't imagine it being anything else. Thanks for reaffirming my thought process.

DCMatt, I believe you are correct! Every article I can find on them shows their logo as R. & D. Co when abbreviated. The periods are what cements it for me. I wish I could find an example online. But, at least I know the approximate date of how old it may be. Somewhere between 1847 and 1894. Which is about the age of the oldest coin found on this site, as well.

Thanks to everyone for the help here!
