I agree, even resembles a brake handle to an old motorcycle possibly, most refrigerator were a little wider. I am just throwing another possibility out. Hubby is 71 retired appliance sales and service, he says not refrigerator for sure, just had him take a look.

I guess that I am wrong on the motorcycle too according to him, obviously not turned the right way. How wide were the rings put into hogs snouts, they were much narrower I am sure. Probably vehicular according to him.

Chrysler Corp used an outside door handle very similar to that. I'll see if I can find a photo.........I can't seem to find one right off hand. The early 60's and before Dodge truck had one similar and many models back in the 50's used that lever style.

The round thing looks like a cable crimp to me, for wire rope, to make a loop on the bitter end of the wire rope or cable. Seen them that look like that here where I work anyway, probably from the 1950's or 1960's.
