A few things I'm thankful for

The GF and I got out for a little while today. Can't identify the tapered peg. Made of lead and most likely CW era. Is it part of a fuse?
I found the two fired and one round ball pulse the tapered peice. My GF found the Williams cleaner bottom peice, one round ball, one mini and part of an exploded sabot, at least thats what I call it. She showed it to me, not all that excited about digging a big peice of junk until I showed her the rifle groves and the other side has the ring where it fused into the artillery shell. Not much for 4 hard hours of hunting but still worth it to me.

Wow nice finds. What is the artifact on the last picture bottom right? I found one and did't know what it was.

IDburdie, the flat peice with the peg sticking out of it is the bottom part of a willaims cleaner mini ball. It went into the back of the projectile and sandwiched a zinc washer. When the round was fired the zinc washer would crush out against the barrel and scrap it clean so the soldier wouldn't have to stop and clean the barrel.
