good job on your findings.. sure glad i live in ca where i dont have to deal with the snow banks, but I do remember the snow from when i use to live in COLD North Dakota.....burrr

Too cold for me and never did a snow bank but if you feel like typing I'd love to hear about the procedure.Sounds like your doing it before it melts? If so I'd be too afraid of getting yelled at for maybe messing up the pile,lol. always thought it would be a great idea tho.

I am using a new detector.
AllI have done is go around the edges up to where the snow has turned to ice.
This way I can dig.
Today it has warmed some so snow is melting some.
So those banks have a new search area.
Now if the rain would stop

Well Chuck, I decided to try my luck on the snow plowed hills at my local mall this past Sunday. And all I can tell you is never, never, ever again will I do that again, at least until the spring melt! It was sunny clear and 10F out and all I managed to find was 4 beer cans, 2 popcans and a lot of foil from cigarette packages. So, after to hours in the freezing cold, I tucked my tail between my legs and sulked all the way home!

Though it was nice to get out of the house and away from the wife for 2 hours!
