Four rings found in various beaches in Orange County over the past couple months of varying metals. The 10k 1966 small class ring was found in Seal Beach. First gold for me from Seal Beach. Finally. Nice looking shape but worn enough school identification tough.

The Tungsten is a very nice ring, pretty heavy and I have a feeling the stones might be real. Found in HB. I should get a stone tester.

I found the nice silver ring in NewPort Beach just last weekend in the surf. Lucky to find since it seem Newport has been worked over by this time of year and the beaches seem too be heavily sanded right now. Then of course yet another Titanium. I think that was Newport too.

Wish I could find a full on platinum. I have found jut one Plat-18k band since I started back into this hobby

Some goodlooking rings m8, is tungsten common in US in rings etc?
I never find any tungsten stuff in sweden, here its just 925/18k, sometimes some 14k but 85% of the gold rings or pendants etc are 18k.
not many sells alot of gold things under 18k.
finding stuff tourists dropped can be 14k sometimes and some very very rare platinum ring but in the shops its not much of it here.

All real nice finds, mike:hello2:

I especially like the class ring!

Congrats on all those finds:headbang:

I don't know how common Tungsten is used for rings in the US but I get the feeling people switched to using such metals when the price of gold was really high and use it to show off other smaller precious items. I honestly don’t know a lot about tungsten.

The only other identified tungsten item I have found was a rectangular piece of jewelry ( engraved “Tungsten Carbide”). It looked like it was from the end of a chain hung around the neck most likely. It that had been molded with indented cross shape. Placed between the horizontal and vertical lines of the cross is a small yellow gold attachment that holds a small ruby in the center. Some may remember I had pictures on here of it a while back.

Tungsten Carbide rings seem to be getting more popular imo. I've found several in the last year and none before that. I also suspect it is a cost issue with folks.

Great finds! Love seeing some of the finds you guys on the other coast find! So much jewlery!
