Did a little screening and came up with a few questions

First I found a big concentration of this non local material, anybody recognize it? Iā€™ve never found so much of it at one time

Is this a scraper? Iā€™d say it has the shape but I see no additional edge work so Iā€™m not sure.

I found this section of crinoid, Iā€™ve sifted this site a hundred times and this is the only crinoid fossil Iā€™ve found, they are common in the rocks around here but this is the lone one from this site. I havenā€™t found more than a few separate from parent rock anywhere around here... what are the odds itā€™s a bead?

Is this stuff burned? I have a few sites on Lightning Creek that produce smallish angular fragments shaped like this but it has been severely burned. If the crinoid was separate from the limestone and with the chert , I'd say bead.

The chert isnā€™t burnt, I do think reed springs is the right call. Most are actually nice large flat flake removals. The possible bead was found with the flakes and some bone, some of the bone is burnt and mussel shells all in about a 2ā€™ area.

It seems Iā€™m more skeptical about the bead than the people Iā€™ve asked. Iā€™d love to know Iā€™ve got my 3rd one. Iā€™ve got two small white glass ones, this would be the first stone one.

The afternoons haul... no tools or pottery this time but if it is a bead then the day was a winner... the two flakes separated show the tiniest bit of edge work
