:help: Have a few items found around some early military stuff that I am not sure of. The group photo is all the stuff that was found that day in the same general area. The first brass item appears to have been hinged in the middle and has holes at both ends to attach something. And the iron piece has the shape a of scissor handle but instead of a hole for your finger there is a bowl shape. :icon_scratch: The other item has some iron showing in the middle of the back. :dontknow:

Re: A few questionable digs...

Your conical bullet is a civil war era Spencer Rifle/Carbine (.52-caliber) bullet, which has been fired, very nicely showing the Spencer's 6-groove rifling-marks.

Thanks. I knew about the bullet. Its a few of the other items I have in question. But thanks for your help. The strange thing about that bullet is that its in fairly good shape for a fired bullet. You can clearly see the groves but its not smashed up or anything. Must of landed in some soft ground.

The middle one looks like the spoon from The Matrix.. :laughing7:

3rd item could be a draw knob (would make sense with the iron).

One item is a curtain tack. Used to pin back the curtain. If it is too small to be such, it might have been the top of a hat pin.

The brass thing does appear to be a hing, but I have no idea what off of.
The dipper or measuring spoon is the rusted metal thing I think.

The spoon looking item maybe a weather vane cup. The other item looks to be a furniture hardware knob. :D Breezie

The item between the "spoon" and the thimble appears to be a bayonet scabbard tip.

That's actually a cane tip. It still has a good bit of wood in it. I thought it was a scabbard tip when I first dug it too. Then I noticed while cleaning it that there was wood sticking out of the end.
