Your first item looks to be decorative piece made of sheet brass that would have gone on the front of a mantle clock. I have a mantle clock that belonged to my grandmother, and the brass piece is almost identical to yours. Mine is held on by 2 very tiny brass (almost headless) tacks. I'll have to take a pic of it tomorrow since everyone in the house is asleep but me! :laughing7: Breezie

the rivet appears to have used for leather...possibly horse tack...a simple guess
