All the nice ones were found in the sandy soil of Spotsylvania County. CS tongue from Brandy Station.

The Maryland button was found in a dug out CS camp near Fredericksburg. Found it 2 feet from a large hut hole. Measured 15 inches deep with my Fisher 1266x. Very faint signal but it sounded good. Wish the 1266x worked half as good in bad ground. Soil where I found this is mostly sand and NO mineralization.

Absolutely Beautiful. Cheers to a fellow 1266 believer!

Those are some real nice lookin' buttons :o

I found a lot of great relics and early coins with my 1266x during the 1990s. It did go deep, but never handled the trash like my F75.

I found that exact Navy button just this past weekend. Yours is significantly nicer, but mine's not bad :laughing7: I can't find this varient in Albert's but I'm sure it's War of 1812 period and into the 1820s.

Very nice! I got started on a used 1266x. Still have it but it seems to have a short of some type in it. It would seem to stop working when I'd cut it off sometimes, I thought maybe when I'd bumped it. Anyway, I used to be able to take the battery packs out a couple of times, put them back in and away I'd go. Now, nothing works. Any thoughts? Where should I send it for repair? I'm using a White's MXT Pro now and love it, but still would like to have the Fisher as standby. Also, how do you clean your buttons?

Thanks!

Keith Wills in Texas bought lots of parts when detector manufacturers closed/were bought out. He will restore it like new for you, for an affordable cost.

Hey, that sounds great. I'll definitely keep him in mind - thanks!

Those buttons are just fantastic Bob. I have not seen any like them in quite a while. Just think, with that new machine, your going to be posting more soon!

Take care my friend

Mike
