I have been bugging and bugging the family to go back to the spot my son found a nice perforator. Finally yesterday I got my wife and my two boys and one of their friends to go. I was pretty excited!!! It was one of my better days. My youngest son found 2. My wife found the crude knife, if that is what it is. It is a great feeling to see my boys trying to understand how these got where they were. My wife was so amazed at the different lithics carried from all over, and all the stories the rocks could tell if they were alive. It was a very very nice day in my book. We love hearing anything about them!! Happy Hunting, it's snowing here now! Good stuff, family time and something to take home too. I have one that looks almost identical to the center picture of the top 3 in a line. It is made of white quartz from western NC.

Good stuff!! Variety makes the day better. Always fun to do a family hunt!

We have such a good time when we get together! It's pretty cool when you find similar styles from such great distances!!

what is the site like? Will a storm uncover more? If you found that much in one day, it is only the tip of the iceberg...

It is next to a spring near a well traveled area. I am excited to go back! I might bring a rake next time we go!! It looked like the rain had washed the grass sideways!!! I will be looking for fire pits next time!!

Very nice I agree their is more there just inches away lol. I like the mustard colored one, what material do u think it is. Keep us updated if u return to the ole honey hole and snow is crazy in almost middle of June

Thanks Antmike, I sure enjoy seeing the colorful points from your area!!
Thanks Crumb, they are always just a few inches away!! I think is is a type of gemmy chert with black dendrites. I have similar ones, so maybe it is from Colorado. There is an agate mountain nearby! That snow melted in a few hours!!

Here is a couple of pics of the one i said was similar. It isn't exactly but is close. The material appears to be different.

I can see the simularity. I'm guessing the material on the one I found was from a locality in Colorado. We find a lot of similar stuff in Colorado. Thanks for posting the picture, it does look a little different. I love the variety!!!!
