I was at the far away place yesterday. Could only do a couple hours due to the humidity. IMG_2950.JPG I spied this one first and since I wasn't filthy yet took a pic in place. Then #2 showed up. IMG_2951.JPG

Lastly, Got a slightly bigger one.IMG_2952.JPG

The first one in the group picture is a Susquehanna broadspear. Second one a short Adena. Third I don't know. Any ideas? The first one is a black jasper, first black jasper I have found on this site.

Nice finds smokey, this humidity is unreal. I'm going to try to look myself this coming weekend but how long is a different question.

I want to make a trip to Flint Ridge, Ohio but its 390 miles one way...place is in total shade, but...And I have 20 pounds of artifacts, not knapping flint from there already including a few points and knives, lots of cores and hammerstones and flake blades.

Thanks all. The "big" one is just over 2", so not exactly huge. I wonder where the black flints found for 100 miles around here comes from. Anybody hazard a guess?

Smokey Congratulations on your beautiful recoveries..I never realized that there was so many different types ..Someday I want to learn how to identify them

There are more types on the East Coast than you can imagine. I certainly don't know the types.

I often wonder how they cut and shaped them so so precisely..Then to make beautiful arrows and bows on top of that is just incredible
