my buddy John wanted me to thanks you guys for making him and his son(winner of the Ace 250) so welcome,he said they were both a little nervous about being the two new guys(neither of these guys have ever even touched a 'detecter before)he said everybody went out of there way to welcome them and teach'um the specifics.................thats what its all about guys! KUDOS!
Looks like you guys had a good size group and appears a lot of fun and laughs was had.Glad you all were able to get together and enjoy each other's company. You're right, that's what it's all about.Kudos to the group and organizers.
I, too, was glad to see him win the detector. He did very well for having never operated a detector before. I watched him pick up a signal with the Whites Prizm, dig it, pinpoint it, and pull out a whole Boy Scouts knife! And then to win a detector all his own? Couldn't be any better. I hope to see him at a future hunt (he'll probably kick my @$$ in finds!).
Good to see the Newbie win the Ace 250.......Now Dad will probably get a little jeleous when the kid keeps coming in with those finds......Who knows, maybe dad might get a detector for Christmas .Maybe dad might get himself his own Christmas gift this year,to join his son on hunts .
This hobby is very addictive L.O.L.
That's a great idea McNickle! My dad and I both bought our Ace 250's at the same time and he sent his Bounty Hunter to my brother. We all started hunting together and it's been a lot of fun! My brother and I are all grown up and have our own families now, and I would say it's really brought us all together a little more frequently.
