found some neat digs, check it out. a 1917 S (rev) Walker! I couldnt beleive it! It only read about 2" deep so i was kind of expecting junk but it was such a pure, sweet signal, locked dead on "half". I was so happy. And that was about my 10th sweep! No more silver after that. But i did find a cool old coin which at first i thought was a token. It read on what an indian head would read. Its dated 1875. cool! Some kind of French coin I think but its pretty worn. (the green one in the pic) Also found an indian head (1909), 5 wheats, and some clad. Also found a neat button and a Max Factor metal ladies makeup compact that has the make up and a little mirror inside.

Good hunting and good luck folks!

Really like that walker!! :o

Check the 1909 IH on the reverse under the wreath ,if there is an S mint mark it is more valuable.

thank you for the nice comments folks, now go out there and get yours! ;)

i did check the IH but alas no mark was there...ive never found an S marked IH. the clad counter was from willdigforfood. the compact did half half a mirror in it. i was hoping it was a gold coin holder but it was just some rouge. :D

The 1908 s (1,115,000 minted) and the 1909 s (309,000 minted) are the only IHs with mint marks.

You do have an old French coin there. 5 Centimes piece? I don't remember the sizes, but the denomination should be on the reverse in the wreath. Congrats!

Nice finds...anytime you find big silver makes for a great day...congrats!!!!

thanks again folks and thanks for the ID! you nailed it. unfortunately the denomination is worn away, i can make out IMES in the word centimes and the word FRATERNITE on the back and part of the wreath but thats about it. the coin is kind of "wavy" for some reason and that was one of the high and worn spots.
