Went back today to the good spot I started on yesterday. Much slower today, dug a lot of iffy signals just in case. Ended up with 2 more IHP, 1880 and 1908 (had to do electolysis on that one because it was caked). The Calumet piece I believe is a plate that went on the front of that particular bike and dates 1898 (according to what I found on google). 6 more wheats, 1910 being the oldest, another brass ring, an odd broach, and a 1940 Hayes For Governer pin. There is more good area to cover but I will have to fight tall grass, maybe tomorrow. Sorry about the blurry pic.

That IH collection is growing fast. Congrats........Hogge :headbang:

Julius Andrae and Sons was an Electric Supply Company, including telephones and switchboards (many on eBay). After one of his sons, Frank Theodore, died in 1927, Frank's wife donated 122 acre of land and improvements to the State of Wisconsin--in his memory. Today, that land is called the Terry Andrae State Park (opened in 1928) and is located in Wilson, Wisc., near Sheboygan.
Don.......
Adding: Calumet, being a town not far from Milwaukee, might represent a 'branch office' of the company.

Nice finds! keep it up. best of luck and HH

Thanks for the info. I also seen that they were involved in telephones as well. The Calumet name corresponds with a bike that was made for a short time in 1898. The emblem has a spot on the top and bottom for fastening.

Thanks Hogge. I am trying to hit 100 IHP this year, I am up to 54 so far. If I could only find more spots like this, it wouldn't be so hard to reach that goal.

Nice hunt WH. :icon_thumleft: Great relics, too.

That would work well with the dates of the IHPs you have found there.

The indian you are mentioning was cleaned by electrolysis. It was caked with a material that I couldn't wash off so I did electrolysis for just a couple minutes and wiped it down. I could get all of them to look like that but I actually prefer the green patina on them.

I am patina with envy but I'll pass on the electrolosis! I still have a feeling the best is yet to come as your on fire and I know your good spots are soon to be available for hunting. Keep swinging that killer detector!

There use to be a huge mill that made Calumet baking products such as flour, baking powder, soda, etc. Monty

What letters or words can you make out just below "for governor" and just above the "1940" date?
Although those look like words, they are just a design. I thought the same thing at first until I took a closer look.

Hey Mackaydon, here is a close pic of the reverse, it looks like it says greenbuck co. chi.
