Found these yesterday...took all day and started very slow with little of nothing found in the morning. Just happen to dig a very weak high tone on the atpro that only hit good one direction. Ended up being the US cartridge plate at 13 inches laying perfectly flat. Wish the bayonet wasnt broken! Also, looking for information on the two items pictured seperately. I beleive the one on the right is a piece of a parrot shell??? Any info would be great! Thanks alot and Happy New Year!

Sorry, can't help but really nice finds. Congrats.

Nice finds! Did you find those pieces here in the Valley? The larger piece you're asking about looks like it could be the a small camp axe head???

Great finds...congratulations!!
Item on left looks either like a hoof pick ( cleaner) or an artillery fuse wrench..look up more info on those.

Great finds. I would love to finally dig a plate.....

Nice finds.

Great hunt!!! That is a good days hunt in anyones book. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year

Congrats on the great finds

Since you asked for the ID... your artillery shell fragment is definitely from the side of the base of the "nose" component of a 3"-caliber Hotchkiss shell. I'm certain about that because one end of your frag shows a Hotchkiss projectile's distinctive narrow square-bottomed sabot-gripping groove on a "swelling." In the photo below, you'll see that groove at the top of the "slope" just below the widest part of a Hotchkiss shell's nose component.
