Went to the same field I got the Eagle General Service Button Friday and dug a few Merrill Carbines. As soon as I got out of the truck I dug this 1907 barber which of coarse had my blood pumping expecting it to be CW era, but still a little nice silver. I have been on a terrible coin drought so glad to get something.

No idea what this was, appears it could have had silver plating. Rang up like BIG silver on the G2

Good stuff! Not a bad way to break the drought.

Nice bullets, and a great coin! Congratulations!

Thanks all, I thought for sure that the piece of copper was going to be a good coin. Read about where a half dollar would and had that deep coin sound. For some reason didn't sound oblong but more like a coin. Oh well...... glad I got the barber. It is a huge field and had a school in it at one time (built in 1812). I know it has been hunted but seems like it is still gonna give up some goodies.

That Barber has some very nice detail, nice coin and the other finds are cool too!

There's nothing at all wrong with that hunt.

Who ever hunted it before, didn't clean it out - so keep at it and find some more goodies!
