Back at the park, it was hard pan this weekend but I managed to squeeze a few more..3 wheats, 2 IH, a 1903, and 1907, a 1942-S silver nickel, a dateless buff, plated gold band, and an old button ...

good finds there you guys are lucky with your parks the parks in my area suck and are loaded with trash

Nice finds! You did better than me!

Teriyaki works just as well but makes the nics taste better.

I'd use mustard, makes them fit the bun better. ;)

On a semi-serious note. Why would any of them work any better than just vinegar? Or any mild acid? :dontknow:

Don't know why but the worchester works awesome. Used it on a 1912 V nickel that was completely red. It doesn't make them shiny just dissolves the plaque for some reason. If you don't believe me try it on a plaques Jefferson to be safe

Take your At Pro to any park turn the headphones up slightly run max sensitivity, pro mode, all metal, max out iron discrimination and then listen for the good tones but faint. Then use the Id number if you can get it to read a good target number on a couple of the sweeps then dig that baby (usually 6-9 inches) you'll be nicely surprised most of the time.
Go slow I mean real slow in high trash your machine will differentiate between the signals. Some times I have to dig a strong trash signal to pin point a faint good signal. I hunt parks full of trash and that have been hit many times over. There is a gap of no coins usually 2 to 5 inches when you start hitting the lower edge coins you'll know thats the early wheats, Indians and Barbers. REMEMBER THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A HUNTED OUT PARK, YOU JUST GOT TO WORK IT HARDER.

Happy Hunting
