Drove an hour to Kinston N.C. today, and met up with my buddy Tony. He had gotten permission to hunt a corn field in Duplin Co. Another 20 min. drive and we were there. The front part of the field was absolutely loaded with can slaw and screw caps. Tony managed to pull out a 1951 wheat cent and I found a pocket watch. We decided to go to the back of the field, and I eyeballed a clay pipe stem. The finds were still meager, but much older 17-2015 001.JPG17-2015 002.JPG17-2015 003.JPG17-2015 004.JPG17-2015 005.JPG17-2015 006.JPG17-2015 007.JPG17-2015 008.JPG

Looks like you found an old site there. Gotta be more goodies close by bud

like the pocket watch, always have. the can slaw gets old real quick

That can slaw sure does sound good doesn't it? I would have gotten out of there REAL QUICK as I hate that stuff. Love the flat button, watch and marble.

Yeah man, I'll bet we could have filled a 5 gallon bucket with can slaw!
