Perfect day to get out and dig, at least here in Va. I managed 2 hours of hunting this afternoon, and brought a few goodies home. One 3 ringer, an 1810 big penny, a heel plate, a dime sized silver-plated flat button with an M or a W engraved on it, and a rivet overall button. This is from a site I have hunted well over 30 years; the Deus has paid for itself many times over in the last 2 years!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Nice. I've found small, heavily silver plated buttons like that one. That variety seems to stand up better than many other gilded buttons which tend to lose their plating.
