I made my 8th trip today to a full city block permission in one of the older sections of town. I acquired the permission two weeks ago. Spent about 2 hours in a corner of the block that has produced well for me. Friday, two days ago was my first trip out of 7 (at the time) to this spot that didn't produce a silver coin, but I made up for it today.
The finds weren't as old today as normal, but still scratched the itch. Over half the silvers from here so far are Barbers!
Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

Congrats on your nice coin finds and the awesome permission to be able to detect it. GL out there.

Thanks! One of the guys I hunt with backed out at the last minute and I almost did, too, but another buddy wanted to go. Glad we went, even though it was in the low 40s with near 30 MPH gusts. That's pretty chilly for March in Texas!
I know... "boo hoo," say the guys up north.

It’s going to take a long time to cover the whole block, but it looks like it will be worth the effort. You have some nice finds there.

Keep swingin.

Congratulations on your nice finds. Can you tell what the year is on the Lincoln in the lower right corner?

Thank you. A large amount of the rest of the block is pretty trashy, with two blacksmith shops over the years, a mattress factory, stores and maybe a cotton gin? All of that is gone, now, though. But, it's nearly Spring here and the weeds are growing quick! It will be a while for sure before I swing it all.

It's a 26 D. The early-ish ones from today are 1919 D, 1925 D, 1926 D, and 1927 D. The rest are from the 40s. I've dug around 90 wheats from this spot in two weeks. A few pretty decent year/mints.

Very nice finds! Congrats on the Mercs and the IHP! :icon_thumleft:

Congrats! good luck on future trips!:occasion14:

Thanks! It is my new rarest US silver coin, with 593,022 minted. I dug an 1897 O dime about 1.5 years ago that held that title (with 666,000 minted) until the 1901 S.
