Went to an old spot where the owner has been searching for a lost ring.....still haven't found it and with all the snowblowing that took place, he may never. Anyhow, found all the items in the picture except the belt buckle. Anyone know what the pendant is? Looks like a woman......background behind her is red.
Next up the belt buckle....pulled in at home....pulled right back out and drove into the woods across from my place where there is an old cellar hole. Followed a trail into the hole and started swinging, got very few hits, but one that caught my ear.....the buckle came out a minute later. I've seen them on here before I think, but not sure what they are, age, etc... any input would be appreciated!

The cameo looks to have some decent age to it. The round plate with the eagle on it is a breastplate from a civil war era ammo strap. very nice finds.

Mike,

that would be me!!! Its a shame I really didn't know what I had until I posted it here.
Now the question, why was it there in the woods of Halifax, PA?! Guess I have to go back and investigate some more.

Things end up in the darndest of places, alot of veterans of the civil war in Pa, all the wars really. Rivers and wagon trails, by River if you had a boat, you boated. No boat? no horse? hope you got good shoes, hoofin it through the woods!!

Halifax is a pretty darn old town, theres probably ALL kinds of oldies around.

Those old paths sure bring alot of surprises. Nice old cameo and the plate is the cherry on top of your hunt. Great finds and thanks for sharing.

Awsome Finds Buddy !

I'm glad this weather isn't Freezing You solid Too lol !

A Reminder in 1875 J. Engle lived in Your House.

By the Plate, I'd say it Looks like Mr. smith
may have been
a Civil War Vetran

Dave....I think you need to pull the trigger. What you see is what I dug....nothing I would consider trash or not worth digging. I've gotten this machine so tight that not only do I have confidence that i'm not missing items, but I also know that my trash digging is down to nothing!

I Still want to get you to see if My SE can be set up close to yours
once the weather improves.

The Few times I went out, I Feel like I went Backwards.
& It's obvious you went Forwards this year so far.
