It was too nice out after work not to be looking for points! I went back to a spot I posted some pics from a few weeks back. Iv been going for years but recently found a sweet spot ..... In between the bricks from an old foundation that has crumbled into the river as the land eroded. I found a few intact pieces and a few heartbreakers.
Decent Quartz point ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487985117.400357.jpg
River stained small point ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487985481.609433.jpg
Nice knife pretty thick has some weight to itImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487985591.652274.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487985603.521354.jpg
Point missing tip it has a rounded base I don't see many of them.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487985738.823738.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487985756.941854.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487985775.190805.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487985785.342256.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487985796.976021.jpg
And a few heart breakers in situ pic I saw the base and pulled slow just saying "please be there" over and over ... Maybe next time.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487985968.074902.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487985980.259563.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487986026.597932.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487986107.588142.jpg
Another heartbreaker ... Really thin and sharp it's snapped at the base its hard to tell if it was a triangle pointImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487986222.231448.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487986234.215736.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487986246.931844.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487986279.970875.jpg
A few randoms ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487986953.184273.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487987003.374515.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487987039.347209.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487987304.685716.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487987321.753896.jpg
I found a lot of pieces from really crude and rough looking points and than 5 feet away really nicely made points. Does this possibly support different time eras and a multigenerational campsite? Another question -I could have filled a bucket from the flint , Quartz , jasper and other flakes that are clearly from knapping would you think campsite or maybe just a area for gathering and testing materials to use? In either case I'm going to dig soon as this is the best spot I have access to with such a high concentration of artifacts.Sorry for the long post please let me know your opinions thanks

Pretty good finds Id call it a good day

@arrow86 heading tomorrow and Sunday to hit some new creeks if interested in harford county- pm if interested about 1hr away or so

I got a couple of places around my house that has tons of flakes... I've always wandered the same thing if it was a camp site or not... And where to dig and not be wasting time and energy

Hey sorry just saw this, thanks for the invite I couldn't have made it anyways I'm on call for work this weekend. We just got hammered with rain up here should uncover some stuff

Could be a multi habitation site washing out. Flakes are the first thing you look for most times and it means they were living and producing points. May be an old site used by many cultures. Each time zone recognized a good site with game and water. Most our cites were built upon ancient sites as well. I am sure they hunted and found arrow heads along the creeks and banks as we do today.
Looks like a nice spot! Good luck.
