A few buttons before the snow.

I got out for a few hours today and managed to find a few things. I didn't dig as much as I usually do in this spot. I got 2 sharps carbine bullets and the buttons pictured below. I was surprised they came out as nice as they did. Usually buttons dug in this spot are in really rough shape. I stopped cleaning on the I as detail started coming off with the green.

Thanks Breezie. I put them in a 50/50 mix of water and lemon juice and got the worst of the crud off and the gilted ones I finished cleaning with aluminum jelly.

I had a better chance of finding those buttons that I did of finding anything I needed at the grocery store.

Great job on the buttons and the preservation VY.
You should bottle that liquid and sell it as "Button Magic - Relic restorer". Just a thought.

Thanks guys. Looks like the only digging I'll be digging is out of my drive way. We got between 20 inches and 2 feet of snow. Peanut I would trade 100 of those buttons for one of your bullets
