A few buttons and spoons and something shiny

Got out for a few hours today and Saturday. Went to an area where I found an 1880 IHP two weeks ago to see what else might pop up. The buttons and spoons are coll but I have no clue what the shiny ornate piece is. Any thoughts. Also found a small broken bottle with an Embossed R on it.

The ornate piece is a curious one...looks fairly heavy duty. Nice digs John, my guess would be a broach of some sort.

Thanks Jon..Might be a while before I get back to this site. Stumbled across it on some family property south of Charleston. Worst thicket I've ever worked thru but worth it. No marks on the brooch so had no clue on the age and the site wasn't on any maps. Found tons of square nails but also some round ones that look more modern. I'll try it again in the fall and see what else turns up.
