My 4 year old had been begging me to take her "diggin' and da-tet-tectin'". So unable to say no to her big blue eyes I played late afternoon hookey. I picked her up from her nana's at 3:00 this afternoon. We searched the backyard of her grandparents house from whic I had recently found another interesting treasure. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,63159.0.html. To her and my delight we were able to dig up the following:
A souvenir medal "Brotherhood of Railroad TrainMen" on one side the other reads "New State Capitol Harrisburg PA" some quick research Harrisburg was made state capitol if PA in 1812 and to the best I can find at this time the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen was established 1886-1968..?? details to follow as soon as I can.
A round whatzit with a hinge of some sort
a 00 buckshot shotgun casing 10ga newclub M.O. CO. Hard to read

With each pc uncovered I found my little girls as big and bluer than ever. The look of amazement and wonder was the absolute best find for me today !! Who would have known that in Western NY I would have been swinging my whites loop in 50 degree weather ! So now I have yet another date after nap time tomorrow afternoon !!
