A different type

Latest find is a small Medieval strap end approx 13th century. Had this sort a few times over the years but always in bronze,this one though is silver which makes it a first for me.

Excellent find! Not too many of those made in Silver. One day I'll pack my MD with me when I go overseas...I've spent seven summers in Europe, but never gone with my detector. (Lots of work = little time for digging) I'd give anything to just turn the machine on in one of those fields.
