A different kind of cub scout find...

Hey, at least it wasn't another one of those stupid cub scout neck slides.
I have about a zillion of those in the collection already.
I have found a few scout knives and I have seen others post on the forums about pins and rings and other scout items...but I have never seen anyone post a find like this.

I can't find these anywhere on the net so I assume they are discontinued.
They are still available for boy scouts in chrome but not for cub scouts.

A bonus, these "classic century" black models seemed to have 23k gold plated accents, although I can't really consider this a gold find.
The plating seems to be coming off the top and bottom pieces but that pocket clip is intact and shined up nicely just like it was gold.
All 3 accent pieces left black marks on my cleaning cloth just like gold would.

Something cool and neat and, thankfully, different to add to the collection.

Hello digger27. Nice find and in good shape too. I have a few scout items in my coolection also but nothing like that. HH C9

Every year the BSA comes out with new items and many of them are discontinued the same year. Some things are only released in limited numbers, and some things are not sold only only in certain council scout shops.

I read your title and was hoping you had found and posted a picture of a Den Mother. :tongue3: Just kidding.
Neat find. I've never seen one of those either.
Congrats,
MM
