What does a frying pan VDI read on the DFX? I'm curious because my DFX is on its way (FedEx), and I like to dig up things like that too! ;)

Now that's funny, a frying pan. Hey at least you found some clad to make the day worth carrying that pan around.

The frying pan was located at the edge of a 100' cliff in the park. It was about 5" down and it rang out as a solid dime (80-82 VDI range), however when pinpointing, the size of the object gave away that it wasnt a coin. ;D

As for hunting in the historic park, all parks owned by the city of portland are open season for detectors....Thats why I only found clad ;D. I was trying to find the spot where the others (over the last 30 years) have missed (ie. the edge of a 100' cliff). ;D

way to go on the finds....how long did it take you to dig the frying pan up ???

About 2 minutes....1 of which was spent looking at it in the hole trying to figure out what I had just found ??? ??? ??? ::) ;D

I would have kept that pan in the hole. I blame the jerk who threw it there. :D

You may even find the paverbile kitchen sink next.

Congrats on your finds! Nana ;)
