Its called a tuffted Titmouse over here also hammered so you are right, interesting to hear about your bird also.Hi VanGone, if that little birdie were over here it would be very similar to a crested tit, and pretty much only found in Scotland, but America being what she is
I doubt I'm right
hammered
Gold Maven you are totaly correct on this little Bird.tufted titmouse to be specific.
You are right on mamabear on this neat little Bird.titmouse
Yep the Waxwings are very cool. They really attack a tree with fruit or berries on it I will post a shot of that in a while.my fave is the cedar waxwing. I love it when they come through.
I love to feed the birds here in Ohio, in the winter, but I can't afford it anymore.
I live in a large tract of woods, and when they are feeding heavy 50 lbs of sunflower seed doesn't last a week.
It was ok when it was $ 10.00/ 50 lb, now it's over $ 30. !!
We used to keep 3 feeders full, but last year we didn't even start. I feel as if I'm letting my little feathered friends down, but either they eat, or my wife and I do.
Thanks Catobra. We have Ace here. I will check it out. Thats a pretty cheap price.Oh by the way-I did recently find a place (Agway) that usually has 30lb bags for sale for $10.......not the gourmet seed, but my babies all like it pretty well. Ace Hardware has it for sale a lot too.
