✅ SOLVED A crushed cup?

Hi,
I found this on my first hunt. I'm not sure if it's a crushed cup or thermos top. It appears to be made of aluminum or tin, and measures 2.5" in height-2.0" across the "bottom"-and 2.25 along the "top". Thanks in advance for your help!
There are no markings of any kind, and both sides are identical.
Found on an old farmstead that was used at least from 1800's.

I've found small cups that size, have one that still has the handle on it which was mashed flat like yours, but I was able to straighten it out (for the most part). If it's not magnetic, it's likely aluminum, and most likely a small cup as you suspected.
