These were dug near the Gettysburg and Antietam Campaign sites. I have no clue what the first item is. It is brass with the letter "K" affixed. The reverse reads "Huubard Company." The other is copper with some silver gilding still visible.

The second item....No idea what it officially called but it looks like the piece that when squeezed together and slipped on a rod via the holes then released makes a "stopper" by springing open and binding itself on the rod. There's similiar on the lever under bathroom sink that opens and closes the drain.

does resemble a 'spring loaded Drain opener shaft grabber thing',
Nice old copper nail ! I still see those in the poles.
