Stu, send me all the good ones you find for Kentucky. I'll share with you. :icon_thumleft:

I was impressed with your clippings, Stu. Your scans were detailed enough that I was able to read at least 95% of the copy. I have suggested a friend from TX to read your clippings. If he finds anything from that area, I suspect you will receive an anonymous gift box in the mail sometime. Depending on what is inside the box, you should be able to tell if anything was found.<G>

I find that clippings that include photos or information about found items are most helpful. And many of yours are certainly informative. I also like the time-frame you have selected to search: more likely to yield valuables if clippings taken before metal detectors commonly in use: about 1955 onward for my area, but Oregon has a lot of metal detector manufacturers here.

Here are a few more. Glad you guys enjoyed them. I tried to find some in your respective areas, but could not. My favorite is the one from Prairie Du Chien. It is within driving distance. But, I just don't have the time. I got a good feeling about there being something there. Lastly, remember old Stu if you guys find anything from the stories. Check back, I will add some more when I get a little time

EXCELLENT!

I especially enjoyed the kettle of Spanish coins dated 1781 to 1851, found in Rhode Island, and described as "pirate treasure."<G>

I do wonder who buried the cache, though.
