Got out in between the rain today with my Musketeer at a park I have'nt hunted in years. This particular park was my first hunting place when I first started around 19 years ago. I can still remember digging my first wheatie here back then. I tried sticking with the deeper sounding signals for the most part. Had a 60's 70's pocket spill that had 5 quarters, 3 dimes and a few mems.
The larger brass hardware pieces were a good foot down.
Might go back tomorrow morning and try a different area.

Actually I think you might have found an icebox latch, and a really nice one. (restorers love them!)

Nice silver mike

I really like the old time decor on the utilitarian hardware. These days what they make is just junk by comparison.
Great stuff!

Thanks everyone. It's 4:42 a.m. on Sunday morning and I'm up waiting for the sun to go back and try for some more. The wife and kids are off to a Cheerleading competition which I somehow got out of. I'll post what I find good or bad.
