Hey,
My name is Corbin and i'm from south-central Missouri. I originally was researching Ginseng and places to find it, but then I ran across this site. Does anyone know what I could find here?? I'm brand new to this and was just wondering if there was anything worth looking for in my area! Any info would be awesome!

If you're looking for a cash-crop medicinal plant, if you can identify them they should be all over the place in southern Missouri. As a youngster we always found Ginseng, Golden Seal, Bloodroot, Sassafras, Solomon's Seal and May Apple to dry and sell to botanical dealers. Get a good identification book, and wander around the woods. You will find them.

I lived in the Ozarks for a long time, and hunted up many different herbs and roots, but cannot say I ever ran accross it. One good place to start would be around old homestead sites. I often found wild berries growing, wild onion, lettuce, all kinds of stuff. Hope you find some!
