This is a couple of books that I read on-line that are very good.

1 Voyages of Peter Esprit Radisson. He tells his life among the Indians in the 1600's around the Great Lakes and Canada. Radisson and his brother-in-law Des Groseilliers form a settlement at Hudson Bay which grew into the Hudson Bay Company.
This book is very interesting but is a tough read to start out because of the way it's written but well worth the trouble. By the way Radisson's first name is Pierre and they have Peter on the book. :icon_scratch:

2 Alexander Henry's Travels and adventures in Canada and the Indian Territories between the years 1760-1776.
This is another good book about his life living and dealing with the Indians.

Both books deal with the fur trade and are on Google books for free.
