Went detecting in the river today and found the stuff pictured. Top left is a flat button with shank, top right is a slot machine slug, bottom left is a token with a lead center, bottom right a bullet and center is a tag that reads "Manufactured by Bardsley Bros New York"
Back in the 20s or 30s there were several slot machines thrown into the river after a gambling raid. There have been lots of slugs and tokens found at this site, even a bunch of Mercury dimes with holes in them.
I cannot find anything on the tag and was wondering if it may have come from one of the slot machines. It is 1.5"s wide and there is nothing on the back. Also, the bullet mics at a 32caliber but it is 1.5"s long. What would it have been for?

Cool tag. Wonder if it came of one of your machines.

Now, from what I learned last week, tokens with holes in them allowed them to be payed out but not played. That allowed the fool, I mean customer, to put in hard cash and get back tokens he could take to the bar (I called it the bar's bodega) and spend his winnnings. A win-win-win for the bar. That would explain the tokens being leaded up, but does not explain Merc dimes being holed.

need to know the headstamp on the cartridge, but .32 H&R Magnum comes to mind.

There is no head stamp visible. If it helps any the case is 1 1/8" long

Creskol,
Thanks for the help. The third picture is my tag. I would guess that they made more types of furniture and maybe they made slot machines. I wish I could find some info on the company.

There was a 32 long pistol bullet, not used anymore, except in old pistols.
